Mt. 7:24

“24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house

on the rock.”

Mark 4:20

“20 But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

 

John 14:23-24

“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.”

“13 And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.”

The Scriptures above are the reason why we believe God’s Word was not given to us for information but for transformation. To love God is to hear His Word and

keep His Word. His Word is transformative, alive, living, and at work in the lives of all who believe. As a church we commit to the community and fellowship of our church, and submit to the leadership thereof, in order to be encouraged and challenged to live out the Word as doers and not merely as hearers.
It is our individual responsibility as believers to grow and train in godliness by living out God’s Word, and it is the our church’s responsibility to affirm and oversee such growth.
